Lighthouse lookout

GeoTagged, [S28.63611, W153.63773]

This is the view from a lighthouse in Byron bay. The path in the picture is the Captain Cook lookout. It was very windy. The weather is starting to get warmer and warmer and we continue to head further north.

Next stop surfers paradise, don't know if it will quite be warm enough to try a surf ourselves, but I hear it's a nice party town.

  1. Amazing to know that Captain Cook for certain stood where you are standing and saw the same view that you are seeing, except that his ship would have been at anchor in the bay. He would have walked the same beach, and then named the place with the name it has now. He may even have busied himself with a plane table and drawn a chart of the place. Living history!
